Terms and Conditions

This document defines key terms including “Platform” (the CV Shortlister web application), “User” (individuals or entities accessing it), “Customer Data” (CVs and job descriptions uploaded), “Subscription” (paid plans), and “AI Services” (artificial intelligence capabilities for CV processing).

Users must create accounts with accurate information, maintain credential security, be at least 18 years old, and have authority to bind their organization. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

Permitted Use: The platform supports lawful recruitment activities including CV uploads and candidate matching reviews.

Prohibited Use: Users cannot engage in unlawful activities, upload data without consent, attempt reverse-engineering, use unauthorized automated access, share credentials, upload malicious content, discriminate against candidates, resell access, or disrupt platform operations.

Subscriptions require advance billing on monthly or annual cycles. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law. Price changes require 30 days' notice, and cancellations take effect at the billing period's end.

Users retain ownership of uploaded data while granting the company a limited processing license. Users bear responsibility for obtaining proper consents and legal authorization. Data deletion requests are processed within 30 days.

The platform acknowledges that AI results are advisory and should be reviewed by professionals. Match scores derive from pattern recognition, and final hiring decisions remain the user's responsibility.

The platform and its underlying technology belong to Search O Pal, protected by intellectual property law.

The platform is provided “as is” without warranties regarding uninterrupted service, accuracy, or security.

The company's total liability is capped at amounts paid within the preceding 12 months.

Users must indemnify the company against claims arising from platform misuse, term violations, or unauthorized data uploads.

Access may be suspended for breaches, unlawful use, 12-month inactivity, or legal requirements.

These terms are governed by England and Wales law with exclusive court jurisdiction there.

Material updates require 30 days' notice via email or platform notification.
